Richard is a composer with a passion for good, old fashioned melodic pop music. His influences range from the classical music of John Williams, George Martin and Danny Elfman, through to The Beatles, Billy Joel, ELO, Andrew Gold, The Eagles and many other legends.

He writes beautifully melodic piano-led hooks, setting them against eclectic backdrops reflecting the changing moods of a young man with a head full of explosive ideas and the desire to bash out hard-edged beats one minute and float angelically on string quartets the next.

From a very young age Richard would accompany his father, a singer, to recording studios and gigs, and by the age of seventeen and fresh out of performing arts college, Richard went on tour as session keyboard player with Reeves and Mortimer's Shooting Stars tour.

From that moment to the present day he has carved out a career playing in front of amazing people in every kind of gig from Palaces to Piano Bars. He has directed cabaret shows, acted the fool in Improv comedy shows, played bass, drums and guitar in various pop bands, and worked some real dives! 

The show Richard directs, LEGENDS, has won awards and featured on national television numerous times, but his biggest passion in all of his achievements is his songwriting.  Those songs can be found on this site download-able and free of charge.

Richard performs, produces and writes all his own music.  He plays piano, guitar, bass and drums.
